PROJECT MANAGER

PURE + FREEFORM is a multiple award winning, solutions-based Architectural Metal Walls & Ceilings studio, with manufacturing focused on custom and contextual work for interior and exterior applications. Reporting to the General Manager, this position offers an opportunity for personal and professional development with one of the youngest and forward-thinking brands in architecture and construction. Many of our recent projects are well known brands, including the US Bank (Vikings) Stadium, 55 Hudson Yards & Hudson Yards Retail Center, Portland Japanese Gardens Cultural Village (with Kengo Kuma), National Museum of African American History and Culture, Chase (Golden State Warriors) Stadium, Under Armour Brand House in Chicago, NBA Flagship Store 5th Ave (NYC), Issey Miyake at Saks 5th Ave, Canopy by Hilton, and Expensify’s Offices in Portland.

Job Summary 

Project Manager is responsible for exceeding customer expectations in delivering PURE + FREEFORM wall and ceiling panels on time and on budget. Project Manager is responsible for complete operational, logistical and financial management of projects while collaborating with our vendors and suppliers to provide a differentiated solution to complex architectural designs. 

This position resides in the Twin Cities; and offers a competitive base salary, bonus and medical benefits. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Defines project scope, deliverables, budget, performance requirements and roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners 
  • Working directly with key stakeholders (architects, designers, general contractors, fabricators, installers and millworkers), become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships 
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels, exercising the highest level of professionalism and quality standards 
  • Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting 
  • Resolves conflicts and mitigates risk by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies 
  • Evaluates complex situations using multiple sources of information filters, validates and interprets dynamic material 
  • Works closely with estimating team to maintain and update the project budget, and maximize efficient resource utilization through procurement of materials, fabrication and equipment according to the prescribed schedule, while identifying ways to reduce applicable project cost 
  • Works with drafting, shop and field departments to coordinate the implementation of various operations 
  • Establishes processes and practices to ensure the project team is prepared to effectively and efficiently execute projects, and proactively anticipate and adapt to project issues and changes 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Skills 

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural plans and specifications, as well as provide detailed take-offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope / interior paneling solutions 
  • Organizational skills with ability to manage numerous projects concurrently, appropriately prioritizing workload to meet deadlines 
  • Excellent listening, reading, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts 
  • Strong interpersonal communication, presentation and negotiation skills 
  • Must be able to work autonomously, and must possess strong collaboration skills 
  • Willingness and desire to learn novel solutions to solve problems, then incorporate these into future best practices 
  • An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints 
  • Positive attitude 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Must be able to travel as required (<10%) 

Experience and Education 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required 
  • BA/BS degree preferred in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field 
  • 2+ years of Technical Project Manager experience is preferred 
  • Exposure and expertise in construction related software is preferred (BlueBeam / CAD / BIM)

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing and growing sales within his/her assigned geography by expanding opportunities in existing customers and acquiring new business.   Sales Representative will initiate, establish and maintain customer relationships by creating a superior customer experience that will set the stage for effective sales follow-up, as well as future product sales.  Sales Representative will drive sales through product knowledge which will enable candidate to align key business objectives of clients.  Candidates must be self-motivated, self-directed and have a proven track record of successful sales development.  Candidate should possess the ability to present, sell, and understand product design and manufacturing.
