Slab Edge System

Our Slab Edge system is a durable and beautiful alternative to a traditional steel I-beam that offers both weight and cost savings in comparison with true steel. This system is suitable for both interior and exterior applications to cover, or give the appearance of, a steel beam. With the ability to additionally customize the width of the panel or the color of the finish, this system can meet nearly any design intent.

Customization Options

Choose a Panel Size

Panel sizing in this system is typically custom to the job. The maximum panel width (including stretch out) is 48″, with a maximum height of up to 177″, with smaller Slab Edge panel sizes also achievable. Provide us with the dimensions of the I-beam and we can optimize a panel size, formed from aluminum in thicknesses from 1.0mm to 3.0mm.

Choose a Panel Profile

Each Slab Edge profile is custom to the project. The depth of the profile, width of the face, and width of the nose edges can be customized. The nose of the edges should not be smaller than 0.690″. These panels can be paired with either exposed or concealed fasteners.
