Boston Dynamics needed a new headquarters that is as modern and forward thinking as the company itself. The space was designed from an existing building, with sectional areas that could be transformed into areas such as a Town Hall space for employees and a “robot gallery.” Working with the design team, we developed a custom hairline “muntz” metal to be used in millwork throughout the facility. Most notably cladding the cantilevered meeting spaces that overlook most of the open-concept facility. The finish is high in gloss to capture light and movement, but subtle in color to align exactly with the other site materials.
