Step inside the new Chase Center, located in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, and enter a contemporary world of elegance and spectacle, where both the design and the experiences are as diverse as the city itself. The project brings takes stadium hospitality to a new level with a vast array of restaurants, bars, and private lounges set to fit everything from sports events to concerts, delivering an elevated experience for entertainment. Because of the project’s massive size, the interior space needed a clear way for the masses to navigate the mega maze.
The solution was in unifying the interior materials, beginning with the faceted and angular monumental escalator. Visible through the main entrance glass façade is a deeply saturated finished aluminum woodgrain with physical texture to bestow warmth to the touch. The finish paying homage to the exterior soffits, contextualizing and unifying the interior and exterior spaces. The stadium achieved LEED Gold Certification in 2019.
