The new 38,000-square-foot Dell Jewish Community Center in Austin, Texas was conceived on the tenets of community, culture, and wellness. Designed around the concept of a “multi-generational” town square, the open and materially rich spaces foster interaction and inclusivity. The new state-of-the-art fitness, aquatics, childcare, and educational facilities emphasize well-being and interconnectivity, underscoring the positive contributions design can have on cultural spaces. The contextual, elegant, and vibrant materiality underlined Beck Architecture’s prioritization to make the spaces both welcoming and inspiring, infusing equity and empathy into all common spaces, benefiting all who visit.
