Both the depth and color of the facade implies what inhabits the inside of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, but in an artful and powerful way. Three custom variations of blue recall the colors of the sea and give a cooling effect to the impact of the bold facade. In direct light, these blues have a pearlized hairline, giving further depth and visual interest. However, the most unique feature of this project are the metal tiles, purposefully designed to look like fish scales.
