Known by the homeowners as “The Shack,” the property represents their desire to prove not all DC rowhouses are made of brick. Transforming the previously flat black facade, the homeowners themselves chose a deep, matte bronze with a dynamic texture. The material is subtle enough to blend with surrounding homes, while contrasting the white detailed gate and surrounding greenery. The homeowners also opted for non-traditional vertical panels, aligning with their design intent to stand out on the block, in a stunning and lively finish.
