Located at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC is the newly repositioned Western Market Food Hall. The site dates back to 1802, but offers a contemporary design update for the 12,300-sqft market interior, offering a variety of cuisine options to fuel residents and workers in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. Sticking to their roots, the red brick facade was kept fully intact, with traditional black window and door framing. This concept was carried to the interior, where exposed brick and blackened steel fascia cladding offer a cohesive look. In 3.0mm Gun Metal, the material is flexible enough to form the custom Slab Edge shape, but super durable for a high traffic food service area.
