The hotel’s exterior design aimed to bridge the old with new buildings in the neighborhood by incorporating materials that complement the industrial history of the Pearl District. The concrete planes at the base of the building signify entrances. Custom aged bronze corrugated aluminum panels are alternated with full height glass windows to create a dynamic and reflective facade that change in color with natural daylight. The large expanses of glass at the building’s base create an inviting indoor-outdoor experience for passers-by. The rooftop terrace offers views of the City and Cascade Mountains.
