Verizon’s new San Jose campus in Northern California features innovative amenities and spaces to support over 3,000 workers in nearly 650,000 sq ft of office space. To break up such a large space, Gensler designed special installations and moments to engage and inspire employees. The shipping box inspired break out room, was clad in two neo-industrial metal surfaces, one matte weathered steel, Terra di Sienna, and the other in a custom green patinated copper. The Block corrugated surface offers texture and amazing light play while referencing the industrial concept behind the form.
